Patient Participation Group
Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) meets to provide a forum for discussion about the practice.
What is a PPG
A Patient Participation Group (PPG) isa group of volunteer patients, a Partner from the Surgery and the Practice Manager who work together to improve the services and patient experience at the practice. PPGs discuss practice issues, patient experience, and how to make improvements for the benefit of both patients and the practice.
The Purpose
The Purpose of this group is to improve communication between the surgery and our patients, and help the practice tailor services towards the needs of our patients. We feel this channel of communication between practice staff and patients will help break down barriers and enable sharing of information.
All new patients aged 18 years and over automatically become members of our Patient Participation Group (PPG) on registration. The PPG hold educational and information meetings, runs surveys and provides the practice with a patient perspective on the services we offer. There is no commitment associated with membership, although we are always keen to hear from patients who wish to be more involved.
